Why Nexus Grove Exists
Welcome to Nexus Grove
This is my ‘digital grove’ - a space where I can collect and share ideas, things I’ve learned, and thoughts I’m still figuring out. It’s not a grand project with intricate platforms or flashy features. It’s just me, working with what I have, to share what matters to me.
First of all, I want to thank Tiago Forte and NetworkChuck. Their work gave me the confidence to start this blog. Tiago’s PARA system helped me to better organise my learning, and Chuck’s ideas around creating knowledge pipelines showed me how to channel my curiosity into something tangible. Without their inspiration, Nexus Grove would not exist.
What This Blog Is About
At its core, Nexus Grove is a personal record of things that excite me - ideas, tools, and projects I’ve come across in my journey of curiosity. It’s a space to explore questions and document answers (both big and small). My hope is that by sharing these posts in this repository, others might find something here that sparks their own interest!
There’s no comment section or forum, and I don’t have a way for readers to directly connect with me… yet. For now, this is simply a growing collection of ideas. But maybe, someday, this grove will become a meeting place where our interests converge and grow together.
What This Blog Is Not
There is a lot of media and content on the Internet nowadays which is entirely fake, non-genuine, and in general just outright lies. Blogs and feeds built with AI with single prompt inputs, and content released in an automated fashion with minimal human intervention.
I want this space to stand apart.
The Grove is a place for sharing ideas, best practices, and work towards helping us to form connections over content - content which was discovered and documented organically. This space is not a place on the Internet in which AI-generated content will be pushing new posts on a schedule.
I’ll aim to post bi-monthly, but life happens, and sometimes it might be less frequent. What matters to me is that every post here feels honest and true to its purpose even if it means taking more time to get it right.
Why Nexus Grove
The name reflects what I hope this blog can be:
- a nexus is a place where ideas connect and,
- a grove is a space for organic growth and exploration
Together, they represent this corner of the Internet: a peaceful, thoughtful place where curiosity thrives.
What You Can Expect
Here’s what I’ll be sharing:
- Ideas and tools that help me learn and grow, and hopefully you too
- Projects, experiments and half-formed thoughts I’m still figuring out
- Reflections on topics I’m exploring, but not limited to:
- from history and anthropology
- to fitness and health
- to technology and productivity
- to achieving self-actualisation, or Ikigai, as a whole
I’m not promising a polished platform or a perfectly structured workflow. What I’m offering is a record of things that matter to me (at the time, anyway), shared with the hope that they might matter to you too!
What’s Next
So I guess this is the way of saying that this post is just the beginning. I’ll be writing about things I uncover to be useful, and possibly things that don’t work out for me; everything from practical tips and personal growth to things that fascinate me but remain unfinished in my mind. If something here sparks your curiosity, well I hope it encourages you to explore further.
Thank you for stepping into this grove. Let’s see what grows here!
